On the afternoon of November 5, 2024, the Vietnam Fire Prevention and Fighting and Rescue Association held a workshop on "Solutions to remove difficulties for enterprises manufacturing, assembling and inspecting fire prevention and fighting and rescue vehicles and equipment" with the participation of the Fire Prevention and Fighting and Rescue Police Department (C07) - Ministry of Public Security, in a direct form, connecting more than 80 enterprises manufacturing, assembling and inspecting fire prevention and fighting and rescue vehicles and equipment nationwide.
As the only professional social organization with an official legal entity operating in the field of fire prevention and fighting and rescue nationwide, one of the three main tasks of the Association is to gather, gather, support and protect the interests of businesses as well as support businesses to overcome policy difficulties and develop production and business activities in the field of fire prevention and fighting and rescue in Vietnam in general.
Speaking at the opening of the workshop, Mr. Nguyen Do Tung Cuong - Chairman of the Vietnam Fire Prevention and Fighting and Rescue Association said that following the Workshop on May 28, 2024, the Association continued to organize the Workshop today to support businesses in Inspection and production of Fire Prevention and Fighting and Rescue equipment to remove difficulties and obstacles in production and business activities with the participation of leaders of the Fire Prevention and Fighting Police Department and Rescue - Ministry of Public Security, through which the leaders of the Department and representatives of the units under the Department will directly listen and give answers and directions to businesses, especially in the context that the Law on Fire Prevention and Fighting and Rescue is about to be passed by the National Assembly and will have many major adjustments and amendments.
At the workshop, member enterprises presented difficulties arising from production and business practices and made proposals and recommendations for the leaders of the Fire Prevention and Rescue Police Department and the Association to exchange, answer and discuss, related to tax policies; issues related to import and export procedures, access to domestic and export markets; issues related to regulations, standards; inspection, etc. for domestic and export markets; issues related to the domestic market (protection of intellectual property rights, industrial property; anti-counterfeiting, poor quality goods, etc.); other issues.
Colonel Nguyen Minh Khuong, Deputy Director of the Fire Prevention and Rescue Police Department, together with leaders of several functional departments of C07, directly answered questions from businesses at the workshop. In addition, Deputy Director Nguyen Minh Khuong also shared about violations and shortcomings that need to be handled and adjusted in the recent past regarding the production, trading, and inspection of fire prevention and rescue equipment nationwide.
For recommendations on specific difficulties, problems and proposals of organizations and enterprises that have been raised but have not had time to respond, the Vietnam Fire Prevention and Rescue Association will gather and coordinate with the Fire Prevention and Rescue Police Department to research and respond in writing to units and enterprises.
At the end of the workshop, Lieutenant General Nguyen Tuan Anh, Director of the Fire Prevention and Rescue Police Department, gave instructions on the activities of inspection enterprises and enterprises manufacturing and assembling fire prevention and rescue vehicles and equipment.
The Director requested that inspection enterprises must carry out the inspection of fire prevention and fighting and rescue equipment and vehicles seriously at all stages of the inspection process, ensuring the quality of the inspection work: "The inspection work has been socialized and assigned to enterprises, so inspection enterprises are required to carry out the work very seriously, from the sealing stage, the inspection stage, to the unsealing stage".
For enterprises manufacturing and assembling fire prevention and fighting equipment and vehicles, Lieutenant General Nguyen Tuan Anh requested that enterprises further improve product quality, ensuring the effectiveness and efficiency of fire fighting equipment and vehicles produced by enterprises. In addition, manufacturing enterprises need to closely cooperate with the Vietnam Fire Prevention and Fighting Association to fight against counterfeit goods in the fire prevention and fighting equipment market.
Regarding state management, the Fire Prevention and Rescue Police Department will take measures to strengthen inspection and supervision of the implementation of regulations for enterprises in this group to ensure compliance with legal regulations. Any violation, depending on the nature and severity, will be subject to administrative sanctions or criminal prosecution according to regulations.
