Product Description
S-TEC VINA's SNS-100 system uses nitrogen (IG-100) – a natural inert gas that makes up 78% of the air we breathe. It is clean and environmentally friendly, non-conductive, non-corrosive and leaves no residue after discharge, causing no harm to equipment or assets and safe for people at the design concentration. It is a safe, sustainable and highly effective fire suppression solution, especially suited to technical areas, server rooms, electrical panels and control centers.
Extinguishing principle
When a fire occurs, the system is activated and nitrogen is discharged, replacing part of the air in the protected area and lowering the oxygen concentration from about 21% to 12–15%. At this level the flame can no longer sustain combustion, while people can still evacuate the area safely.
Fire suppression is a purely physical process – no chemical reaction, no smoke, no corrosion and no residue. Electronic equipment and assets are fully protected, and the environment remains clean and safe for people.
